Preparing for a FCG Tour Event
We are glad you have chosen to play in a FCG Event.  Here are some things you should know.

Course Set Up
The FCG Tour sets up the events like Collegiate events to better prepare you for the Next Level.
On each event website you will see the approximate yardage we will play from.
The pin placements are set up similar to a college event as well.

Travel and Lodging Accommodations
FCG Tour will post on our website a Host Hotel for the event.  Generally families will receive a discount at the selected hotel.  Please mention the FCG Tour when you make your resevration

Tournament Schedule
Listed on the website is the Tournament Schedule and Special Events

Practice Rounds
The FCG Tour events do not include practice rounds.  Player should book their practice rounds as soon as the course will allow you to book.  Most events have a discounted practice round rate for tournament players so make sure you mention that you are playing in the FCG Tour event.

Please take care of the golf course during your practice rounds and be respectful of the course rules.  Fill in all of your divots in the fairway and fix all of your ball marks.  Pace of play must be quick as well and we ask that you don’t play multiple shots during your practice rounds.
It is recommended that players purchase yardage books at the Pro Shop. This acts as a tool for better knowing the course layout, trouble areas and yardages. It will save time walking off distances and ultimately speeds up pace of play.

Players Registration
Player registration will generally open up 1 hr prior to the first tee time on the first day of the tournament.  For some of our larger events we will host an optional or mandatory check-in the day before the event.  This will be listed on the website.

Lunch, Water, Snacks
It is the player’s responsibility to prepare themselves for their tournament rounds.  Most of our 2 and 3-day events we will provide a box lunch at the turn and bottled water.  Please get in the habit of taking care of yourself though to be a better prepared tournament player.  Parents can carry a players lunch and give them to it during the round.

Tournament Rounds

Range and Short Game Facilities
Range balls are complimentary prior to tournament rounds. The range opens roughly an hour before the start of the first tee times. After the completion of the first round, the golf course may charge a nominal fee for range balls.
Remember, hitting range balls in the morning is supposed to be a warm up, not a practice session! Save the practice session for after the round. There are too many players trying to warm up and space is often times limited.
Some of our larger events will require that players share their range station so everyone gets a chance to warm up.  Please be courteous of other players so everyone has a great experience.

Reporting to your starting hole
It is the player's responsibility to be at his/her designated tee ready to play at their respective starting time. Late arrival to the tee may result in a 2-stroke penalty or disqualification.
We recommend arriving at the tee at least 10 minutes prior to your tee time. Make sure you budget time to walk to your tee.

After your putt out on 18
Please remember golf is a social game and a game of sportsmanship. All players should shake hands and remove their hats at the conclusion of play. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated on the FCG Tour.

Tournament Media

The FCG Tour is very Social! All of our tournament results will be up on the website immediately following conclusion of play for each round. We will then interview the players.

Scoring Area

At the conclusion of the 18th hole, competitors must go directly to the scoring area to make their score official. Parents must not enter the scoring area. Players are responsible for making sure their hole-by-hole scores are correct as well as signing in the correct space provided. No round will be deemed complete until players have left the scoring area and have agreed on all scores.

Second and/or Final Round Pairings

After the completion of the first round, all competitors will be regrouped according to score for their next round. Parings will be posted next to the scoring area, on  the website, and emailed out to all players.  We will also give a copy to the golf course so you can call the shop and get your tee time.

Awards Ceremony

After completion of each age division we will conduct the awards ceremony. We know your time is valuable and we will be very efficient in completing scoring and announcing our top finishers.

Top finishers who receive an award will need to stick around for photos and interviews for our website and press release.
