1/14-15 - Golfweek Series Event powered by Future Champions Golf at the challenging Carlton Oaks Golf Course. FCG Academy Students dominate the Boys 15-18 Division with 4 players finishing in the top 5! Congrats to Nahum Mendoza for winning with 74 - 70! Bobby Gojuangco and Jonah Texeira come T2! Bobby had the low round of the tournament with a 69 the final day after a disappointing 77 to start, great comeback! New Academy Student Kevin Cline come sout firing the final day and fires a 70 to crack the top 5! Full Leaderboard

1/7 - Waverly Whiston wins first SDJGA Event of 2012. Isabella Raanches wins first event in her division.

12/28-30 - Bobby Gojuangco finishes in 2nd Place in 120 Players Boys 15-18 Field of the SAn Diego Junior Amateur. Ryan Odom finishes in 10th Place!

7/11 - US WOMENS AMATEUR QUALIFYING
- Courtney Hooton Qualifies to compete in this year's US Womens Amateur!

7/7 - OPEN JUNIOR WORLD QUALIFIER AT SYCUAN RESORT
- Eric Peng wins the final shot a Junior World! Shoots 72 to get in. Way to go champ!

7/5-6 - SAN DIEGO JUNIOR MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIP
- Eric Peng and Bobby Gojuangco continue to put up impressive numbers in big events. Eric Peng was tied for the lead after round 1 with a 1 under par 71 and closed with a 73 to finish 1 shot back of the winner and got 2nd place. He birdied the 18th hole in both rounds at Carlton Oaks! Bobby Gojuangco fired back to back 72's to finish in a Tie for 2nd as well.

6/29 - PGA JUNIOR SERIES QUALIFIER - COLORADO
- Bobby Gojuangco successfully defends his title with 74-69-69 to win by 1 stroke and will head back to the PGA Junior Championship! A huge accomplishment and he did it with a birdie on the 18th Hole the final day! Keep it going champ!

6/28 - SDJGA Junior World Qualifying Event
- Eric Doyle wins the Boys 7-8 Division and Darien Zhao finishes 1 stroke back for 2nd place
- Nicole Whiston wins the Girls 9-10 Division
- Riley Klingelberg has impressive 2nd place finish with 1 under par in the 9-10 Boys
- Courtney Hooton has a share of the lead in the Girls Championshp Division. Marissa Borja lurking in 4th place

6/27 - US Junior Amateur Qualifier - Colorado
- Bobby Gojuangco continues his hot streak qualifying today for the United States Junior Amateur Championship! He scored a 70-73 to take 3rd place and earn a spot in the 2011 Field.

• Nahum Mendoza finishes T1st as a 15 Year Old in the Boys 15-18 Division at eagle Crest with 71-75.

  Super Hot Bobby Gojuangco finishes in a Tie for 3rd Place at the CIF Finals at Warner Springs Ranch as a 15 year old Sophomore. Bobby plays for the Torrey Pines Golf Team and will move onto the Southern California Regional Event on June 3rd at SCGA Members Club. Bobby shot 73-71 featuring a final 9 of 3 under par to grab a share of 3rd place.

  Bobby Gojuangco continues his hot streak winning again at the North County High School Conference Championship. The event was played at the SCGA Members Course and at Woods Valley Golf Club. With rounds of 67-70 Bobby outlasted a field of 150 High School Players!

  At the AJGA Preseason Event Bobby Gojuangco is co-medalist with rounds of 74-73-147 in his very first AJGA Event. Way to go Bobby! Bobby plays on the highly competitive Torrey Pines High School Golf Team.

• FCG National Tour hosts Callaway Junior World Qualifying event at Primm Valley Golf Club. FCG Academy Students play well across all the divisions. Here are some highlights:
• Bobby Gojuangco wins Boys 15-18 division shooting an impressive 69-68- 137.
• Haley Moore wins the Girls 11-12 Division with rounds of 73-78.
• Waverly Whiston wins the Girls 10 and Under with a 34-38- 72
• Tyler Moore finishes in 3rd place in the Boys 13-15 with 71-73
• Krystian Romero fires his personal best tournament round on day 2 with a 72.

4/10-11

• WOW! 10 Shot victory from FCG Academy Student Tyler Moore from Escondido at FCWT event at Mission Hills Golf Course. Tyler opened with a bogey free 8 under par 64. Then fired a 2 under par 70 in round 2. Way to go Tyler! He won the Bpys 13-15 as a 13 year old.
• Jonah Texeira comes in 2nd place with impressive rounds of 67-72 at the same event as a 14 year old competing in the Boys 16-18 Division. Way to go guys!

• Waverly Whiston wins the LA City Junior Golf Championships in the Girls 10-11 Division as a 10-Year Old.
• Bobby Gojuangco fires a 2nd round 68 with No Bogeys at the LA City Championships.
• Haley Moore wins the Girls 11-12 Division at SDJGA Event at Tecolote Canyon with a 62
• Tyler Moore finishes in 2nd Place at SDJGA Event at Meadowlake with a 72. He makes eagle on 18 to take 2nd place honors.

• FCG WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINISHES BY OUR STUDENTS
• Tyler Moore finishes in 2nd Place at Pala Mesa with rounds of 71-74-73.
• Jonah Texeira finishes in 3rd Place with rounds of 77-70-76 as a 14 year old in the 18 and under division.
• Casie Cathrea takes 30-minute lesson Sunday evening and has just 24 putts in the final round with a score of 71.
• Christopher Tuulik finishes in 5th place in Boys 15-18 with rounds of 78-71-77.
• Blake Petchel finishes in 5th Place in Boys 9-10

• Tyler Moore wins the Boys 13-15 Division at the FCWT Event with 75-68! Way to go Tyler on a big week of golf capturing the 3rd Annual San Diego Junior Amateur and the FCWT Event.
• Jonah Texeira opened with the Round 1 lead scoring a 70 on the TPC Stadium Course at PGA West. His 2nd Day 78 put him in 7th place in the event.

12/28-29

• FCG Academy students play solid at the 3rd Annual San Diego Junior Amateur at Steele Canyon Golf Club. In the Boys 13-14 Division Tyler Moore continued his hot streak winning the event with a 2-day 145 total and a final round 1 under par 71 on a very difficult par 71 layout. The 13-14 Boys played from 6600 yards on a demanding layout. Coming in a tie for 2nd place is long time academy student Jonah Texeira who shot 148 with an impressive final round 72. Other top boys 13-14 division players are Sibo Yan who finished in 8th place and Luis Calderon who finished 13th. Way to go Boys 13-14!
• In the Championship Division Bobby Gojuangco had a 20th place finish out of 76 boys.

• FCG Academy students finish strong at US Kids Desert Shootout at Wigwam Golf Club in Arizona
• Eric Doyle finishes in 2nd Place in Boys 7

• FCG Academy Students compete at local SDJGA John Wirges Event at Twin Oaks and Reidy Creek Golf Course
• In the Boys 11-12 division 3 Academy students tied for first along with another young talented player. Brandon Michaels, Sydney Cozier, and Blake Petchel all take the same group class together went to a playoff where Brandon Michaels eventually made birdie to win. Congratulations to all!
• In the Boys 13-14 Division Tyler Moore continued his hot streak with a 3 under par 69 to take 1st place. Tyler finished birdie, birdie, par, eagle at Twin Oaks Golf Course. Coming in 3rd place in Luis Calderon with an even par 72. In a tie for 4th was Otto Vanhatalo who is back from Finland for the Winter and trained this spring and summer at the Academy. Way to go Tyler and Luis and Otto!
• In the Girls 11-12 Division Haley Moore finished in 2nd place with a 39. Haley has been making some swing changes and it is all starting to come together.

12/5-6

• FCG Academy Students play well in the FCWT Event in Palm Desert.
• Sibo Yan wins the Boys 11-13 Division with 2 solid rounds.
• Congratulations to Tyler Moore who finished in 2nd by one stroke to FCG Member Ben Doyle from San Diego in the Boys 13-15 Division. Tyler had the low round with a 69 on Sunday.
• Jonah Texeira played solid again as a 14 year old in the Boys 16-18 Division. Jonah had an impressive 68 in Sundays final round.
• FCG Academy Collegiate Player Stephen Watson who is now playing at Cal Baptist finished in 6th place in the Santee City Amateur. Stephen had a tough final round in difficult conditions. His opening round 75 was the 2nd lowest score on day 1.

• 2 FCG Academy Students play in the FCWT Tuscon Open and finish strong

  14 Year Old Jonah Texeira finishes in 3rd Place out of 47 players in the Boys 16-18 Division with rounds of 71-75.

  15 Year Old Bobby Gojuangco, from Torrey Pines High School has great finish at the Coronado City Amateur Championship in a field filled with current and former College Players. Bobby shoots rounds of 74-72 to finish in 11th place out of over 100 players, and a very strong field.

• FCG Students finish 1-2-3 in the Boys 13-15 division at Woods Valley. Coming in 1st is Sibo Yan who fired a 73-69. In 2nd was Tyler Moore with 73-76 and in 3rd was Jake Scornavacco who fired 76-73
• Bobby Gojuangco bounces back with a 2nd round 74 to finish in 2nd place in the Boys Championship Division
• Haley Moore finishes in 2nd place in the Girls 11-14 division

7/13-17: JUNIOR WORLD TOP FINISHES BY FCG ACADEMY STUDENTS:

7/6-9: The 2nd Annual San Diego Junior Masters featured many great finishes by FCG Academy Students. Congrats to Tyler Moore who finished in 2nd place in the Boys 11-12 Division, Bobby Gojuangco finishes in 4th in 13-14 and shoots the lowest round day 2 with a 69 with very difficult pin placements. Haley Moore finishes 2nd place as a 10 year old playing on the Girls 11-12 Division. Eric Doyle finishes 1st place at Colina Park!!!

6/30/09: Haley Moore takes first round lead by 6 shots at SDJGA Phil Mickelson Championship shooting even par at Welk Resort. Her brother Tyler continued his winning ways tying for 1st place and winning the playoff with a birdie on the first playoff hole. Congratulations to the Moore's!!!

6/23/09: Waverly Whiston and Nicole Whiston win their division at the US Kids World Championship Qualifier in Lone Tree, Arizona.

6/23/09: 12 year old superstar Tyler Moore fires back to 67-67 to win by 12 strokes at the SDJGA Craig Stadler Event. Bobby Gojuangco fires a 75 and ties for 3rd.

6/22: 14 year old Bobby Gojuangco fires 2 under par in opening round of SDJGA Craig Stadler Championship to take the lead by 1 stroke heading into the final round. 12 year old Tyler Moore opens with a 5 under par 67 to take the lead by 5 shots after the first round of the Championship.

  Girls 9: Cecelia DeMatteo shoots 4 under par 32 to win her division

  Girls 10: Haley Moore shoots 4 under par 32 to win her division

  Boys 10: Julian Davis shoots 2 over par 38 to win his division

• 5/30-31: Results from FCG Northern California Championship.
• 4/9-10: FCG Spring Break Championship- 2 Months ago Victor Bagdasar joined the Academy in hopes to lower his scores in competition. He has medaled multiple times this season in his highs chool matches and this week at Sycuan had the low round both days shooting 75-73 to win his first event. In the 13-15 Boys Division Jonah Texeira continued his dominance with a come from behind victory shooting a final round 73 to claim the victory. In the Girls All Stars Division Minjia Luo from Rancho Bernardo fired a closing round 77 to take the honors by 4 strokes. In the Girls 11-14 FCG Academy students finish 1-2 with Erica Marie beating out 10 year old standout Haley Moore by 4 strokes. In the 11-12 Boys Division Tyler Moore continued to shoot low scores firing the low round of the event in round 1 with a 69, he followed that up with a 75 for an even par 144 finish. Tyler won his division by 13 strokes.In the Girls 9-10 Division Academy students finish 1-2 with Cecelia DeMatteo winning her 2nd straight event to beat Waverly Whiston who had a nice final round 65. Nicole WHiston finished in 2nd place in the Girls 7-8 division. Way to go students! Keep up the good work this season!
• 3/28-29: A Big Weekend for FCG Academy Students playing great in events throughout California.  In the FCG Challenge Tour Event the Boys All Star Division was won by first time Champion Stephen Watson from Christian High School.  Stephen was in 2nd heading into the final round where he closed with a strong 73 to take the victory.  In the Girls All Star Division Minjia Luo from Rancho Bernardo blitzed the field winning by 17 strokes.  In the Boys 11-12 standout Tyler Moore continued his hot run winning again over 2nd place Sibo Yan who just recently spent some time at the Academy.  In the Girls 11-14 Division Haley 10 Year Old Haley Moore played solidly shooting 78-74 to win over 2nd place Erica-Marie Carangalan who is just getting back to tournament action after a 8 month layoff.  In the 10 and Under Division Sihao Yan played great shooting a final round 69 to win over Sidney Cozier.  These two have been going at it of late finishing 1-2 at the FCG World CHampionship in February as well.
