FCG Founders Award

Established in 2013 the FCG Founders Award will be given to the Boy and Girl 15-18 Division player with the lowest 6 round cummulative score from the San Diego Junior Masters and the FCG World Championship Events. Players must compete in both events to be eligibile for this award.

FCG Underpar Golf Course of the Year Award
Established in 2013, the FCG Course of the Year Award will be selected by our Tournament Committee. The Award will be given to the course at the following year's event.
We appreciate all of the courses that help make the FCG Tour great and we are fortunate to be associated with so many great courses.

2013 Underpar Golf Course of the Year: St. Mark Golf Club



Stepping up in crunch time, St. Mark Golf Club was up to the task of being named host course for the FCG International in the last few weeks leading up to the tournament. Frank Iannuzzi and staff were on top of all tournament details, allowing FCG to be able to focus on running a great event. St. Mark has also hosted FCG National Tour Events multiple times this year at the full length course and a FCG Kids Tour Event at the Executive Course. FCG always looks forward to returning to St. Mark and congratulates them on earning the Inaugural UnderPar.com Course of the Year Award.

FCG Volunteer of the Year Award
Established in 2013, the FCG Volunteer of the Year Award will be given out at the Annual San Diego Junior Amateur Championship. This award will be given to the Volunteer who goes above and beyond to assist the FCG Tour on their mission to help junior golfers succeed.

2013 Volunteer of the Year: JJ Petchel



A volunteer for many years now with FCG, JJ Petchel always delivers, whether it be starting on the first tee, answering rules questions, or handing out awards. He is knowledgeable about the game and how FCG Events are supposed to be operated and has a true passion towards Future Champions Golf. We always enjoy seeing JJ out on the course! Congrats on winning the 2013 Volunteer of Year Award!



FCG Tour Sportsmanship of the Year Award
Established in 2013, the Sportsmanship of the Year Award will be awarded at the annual San Diego Junior Amateur in January 2014.

2013 Sportsmanship of the Year Award Winners :

Texie June Petchel Texie has been with FCG for many years now and has always shown outstanding sportsmanship towards fellow competitors, course staff, and FCG Staff Members. This year she committed to play golf at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. Texie is always there to lift spirits, congratulate winners and make FCG events enjoyable for all. Congrats Texie!

Greg Gildea had a breakthrough year on the golf course, winning the FCG San Diego Junior Masters and the Inaugural FCG Pacific NW Championship at Chambers Bay. He also has committed to play golf at the University of Washington. Greg has consistently been one of the first players to shake hands and thank the FCG Staff for their efforts in putting on each and every event. In addition, he was a huge factor in allowing FCG to host an event at Chambers Bay due to his connections in the junior golf world in the Pacific NW. Congrats Greg!
