The Callaway FCG National Tour opened its season with a weekend full of rain.
Congratulations to all of our Champions and to everyone for hanging in there during the tough conditions. We had some really good scores both days of play including the Low Round by 12 year old Sahith Theegala who closed with a 69 to win the 11-12 Boys Division and Gordon Neale fired a 69 to take 2nd in the 13-15 Boys Division. Boys All Star Champion Carlos Kim opened with a 2 under par 70; Devon Bling from Ridgecrest opened with a 70- not bad for a 10 year old; and Tyler Moore from Escondido was the only player to keep it in the red both days with a 70-71-143 finish.

Congratulations to Carlos Kim from Chula Vista who opened with a 2 under par 70 on day 1 and closed with a 78 to take the division. Our 2nd place finisher is Bobby Gojuangco from San Diego who played a great final round from the Black Tees with a 74. Del Mar's Austin Vincent is the 3rd place finisher with a solid 79-75. Way to go all 18 and Under Boys Division Players.

The Girls All Stars Division was won by Senior Kristina Lynn from Carlsbad who played 2 solid rounds at 78-81 to cliam victory. Coming in 2nd place from Temecula is 12 year old Texie June Petchel at 169. Third place finisher is Annie McSorley from Poway High School. Way to go Girls All Stars!

Tyler Moore

Escondido's Tyler Moore played 2 solid rounds of golf to open his season at Woods Valley Golf CLub firing rounds of 70-71 to hold off 2nd place Gordon Neale who played very solid with rounds of 74-69. These 2 battled last month at the FCG World Championship where Gordon was victorious. It is a lot of fun to watch these kids play! Coming in 3rd place is Ranch Santa Fe's Maxwell McKinney. Way to go all 13-15 Boys Division Players.

Haley Moore

Congratulations to Haley Moore for her performance at our opening event. Haley played 2 solid rounds of golf with a 78-81 in tough conditions. Rounding out the top 3 is 2nd place finisher Waverly Whiston from San Diego and Anne McCuthan from Rancho Santa Fe. Way to go all Girls 11-14 Players.

This is always a fun division to watch and see what happens as we have a full field of heavy hitters each event. Coming on top this time is Sahith Theegala from Chino Hills who went low with 73-69. Coming in 2nd place is 2009 Fall/ Winter Series POY winner Norman Xiong with rounds of 73-75. He tied with Las Vegas Sam Dickey who went 74-74. Congratulations to all participants!

Devon Bling

Devon Bling from Ridgecrest continues to play well each event and opens with a 2 under par 70 from 5000 yards in the 10 and Under Boys Division. With a final round 80 in the win he takes the title. Coming in 2nd place is Bryan Chaiyasane from San Diego with 82-83. In 3rd place is Riley Klingelberg who went 81-86! Congrats to all Young Guns!
