Congratulations to our younger divisions who finished today!

First in was 7-8 Girls Division with Isaabella Ranches defending her title and taking home the Trophy!

In the Boys 7-8 Division we had a sudden death playoff between 2 boys from Encinitas - Jonas Appel and Landon Elliot. Landon Elliot is the Champion!

In the Boys 9-10 Division Alexander Yang, from Newport Coast, CA fires a final round 70 to grab first place honors! In 2nd place is Robert You from Nashua, New Hampshire who shot 76-78.

In the Girls 9-10 Division Kayla Sam from Anaheim Hills scored 87-85 to win the title. In 2nd place is Sengum Gankhuyag from Los Angeles with rounds of 96-85.

Boys 11-12 Division had some really strong scores. Winning the division is Markopolo Fullepp from San Diego, Ca who scored 68- 74. In 2nd Place is Devon Bling from Ridgecreat with rounds of 70-75!

In the Girls 11-12 Suejin Ko from Murrieta went Low! 74 - 69! Coming in 2nd place is Quynn Duong from San Jose with 76-64 - 150 Total!

ROUND 1 RECAP - Almost perfect weather Day 1 of the 2012 Event at Menifee Lakes Country Club. 155 Players from 10 states and 4 countries teed it up in round 1 and we have some exciting golf being played. Thank you to all the college coaches for attending today's event.

BOYS 15-18 DIVISION - A bogey free opening round by San Diego Native- Bobby Gojuangco, who fired a smooth 68 to take a One-Stroke Lead over Yorba Linda's Derek Castillo.

GIRLS 15-18 DIVISION is led by Fernanda Villegas from Mexico who opened with a 75. Trailing by just 2 strokes is Brooke Graebe from Yorba Linda, CA with a 77.

BOYS 13-14 DIVISION there is a Tie for 1st place with two players who always seem to be in contention. Sidney Cozier from San Diego and Sam Dickey from Las Vegas opened with rounds of 73.

BOYS 11-12 DIVISION saw two players get under par today including a stellar 68 by Markopolo Fullepp from Del Mar who made a double on his first hole before getting hot with a plethora of birdies and an eagle. In 2nd place with a 70 is Devon Bling from Ridgecrest who has a fantastic resume in FCG Events!

GIRLS 11-12 DIVISION led by Suejin Ko from Murrieta, CA with an opening round 74 including 5 birdies! In 2nd place is Quynn Duong from San Jose, CA who fired a 76 today!

BOYS 9-10 DIVISION is led by Robert You all the way from Nashua, NH who came out with an opening round 78 to lead the division. In 2nd place is Collier Curd from Kentucky and Alexander Yang from Newport Coast, CA with rounds of 79.

GIRLS 9-10 DIVISION is led by Kayla Sam from Anaheim Hills, CA with an opening round 87. In 2nd place is Jimena Ramirez from Heber, CA with a 93!

BOYS 7-8 DIVISION is a tie for 1st with opening 9's of 39 by Jonas Appel and Landon Elliot from San Diego, CA.

GIRLS 7-8 DIVISION is led by Isabella Ranches from San Diego, CA who also won this event last year!

Special Tournament Notes and Exemptions - The Top 10 Boys 15-18 and the Top 6 Girls 15-18 will qualify for the FCG World Match Play Championship to be held July 22-25, 2012! The Boys and Girls 15-18 Divisions will be ranked by Golfweek. The AJGA will recognize both the 15-18 and 13-14 Divisions. National Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranked Event and this is the 2nd Event for points for Callaway World Series Rankings. The Boys 15-18 Division Champion will earn an Exemption into the 2012 Rice Planters Amateur CHampionship.

Menifee Lakes Country Club in Menifee, CA.

In 2008 Future Champions Golf launched the Inaugural FCG World Championship to be played annually on President's Weekend in San Diego,CA. We had great success each year with over 250 junior golfers coming to compete in the event. We had great champions, excellent courses, and wonderful special events. In 2010 we decided to move the FCG World Championship to summer to be held after the Callaway Junior World to give international and local players another opportunity to compete with worldwide players. So in 2011 the FCG World Championship has been moved to July 17-19, 2011 at the World Renowned "PGA WEST" in La Quinta, CA. Players from around the World will compete on a course played for year's by PGA Tour Players. So now gives birth to a new era with the FCG Western States Junior Players Cup to take place of our FCG World Championship on Presidents Weekend. Join us for a great event!
