The Callaway Golf FCG National Tour headed North to play the Primm Valley Golf Club just outside Las Vegas, NV. The Primm Valley Golf CLub is designed by Course Architect Tom Fazio and is an amazing facility. Players enjoyed the huge driving range, extensive short game facility, and the beautifullyu manicured 36-Hole layout. On day 1 players competed on the Par 72 Desert Course and on Day 2 they played the Par 71 Lakes Course. A total of 164 junior golfers competed. The weather was very windy and cold on Friday during the practice round ut during the event was 86 degrees, sunny, and not a breath of wind.

Boys 15-18

Bobby Gojuangco
2010 Champion

What a Great Event in the Boys 15-18 Division. Coming on top was San Diego native Bobby Gojuangco who put together two solid rounds of 69-68. He played great all day on Sunday despite a Double Bogey on the 8th Hole, he bounced back on Hole #11 with a 10 foot eagle putt! Making a great run and the low round of the event goes to Kevin Techakanokboon who fired a closing 65! Rounding out the Top 3 was San Diego's Brandon Hortt who had rounds of 72-68.

Girls 15-18

Kaitlin Park
2010 Champion

Kaitlin Park from Tustin Ranch wins by 7 shots in the Girls 15-18 Division and earns the Callaway Junior World Exemption. She had 2 rounds under par 71-70 to win over 2nd Place finisher Sirene Blair from South Jordan, Utah. Sirene closed with an even par 71. Coming in 3rd place is Sagee Palavivatana who put together 2 consistent rounds of 76-75. Way to go Girls!

Boys 13-14

Gordon Neale
2010 Champion

One of the toughest age divisions to win goes to the super hot player- Gordon Neale from Ranch Santa Margarita, CA. This kid shoots under par everytime he tees it up. He shot a 2 under par 70 in round 1 and a 1 under par 71 in round 2. Coming in 2nd place is the super long hitting George Cunningham from Litchfield Park, AZ by just a shot with rounds of 71-70. 3rd place goes to powerhouse Tyler Moore from Escondido who shot 71-73.

Girls 13-14

Robynn Ree
2010 Champion

2 solid rounds by our champion in the Girls 13-14 Division- Robynn Ree earns top honors and an exemption to 2010 Callaway Junior World. Robynn, from Redondo Beach had shot 74 in each round to win. Coming in 2nd place is Jennifer Yu from Laguna Hill with 78-75. Tieing for 3rd place is Amanda Kahn from Calrsbad and Joanne Ducot from Escondido with 154.

BOYS 11-12

Sahith Theegala
2010 Champion

3-Time Callaway Junior World Champion Sahith Theegala dominates the Boys 11-12 division with rounds of 68-71. Sahith won low round of the 1st day at a free ride on the Desperado Rollercoaster at Primm Valley Resort. We had a 3-way playoff for 2nd place in this division to decide who will take the 2010 Callaway Junior World Exemption since Sahith was exempt. Winning on the 1st playoff hole with a par is Derek Castillo from Yorba Linda, CA. Brandon Ahn and Koichiro Sato tie for 3rd place.

Haley Moore
2010 Champion

Great play here in the Girls 11-12 Division. Top honors go to Long Ball Haley Moore from Escondido, CA. Haley opened with an impressive 1 over par 73 in round 1. There was a 2nd place tie between Jia Yu Kong from Arcadia and Karen Kim from Corona at 154. Way to go ladies!

Charlie Reiter
2010 Champion

Charlie Reiter is your 2010 Boys 9-10 Champion. This division has some heavy young hitters competing and Charlie takes top honors with rounds of 71-70 for a 2-day 2 under par total. Coming in 2nd place is Frankie Capan, all the way from Sanit Paul, Minnesota at 144. The 3rd place award goes to Ahmed Ali from Pleasanton at 151. Ahmed is a former Junior World Champion!

GIRLS 9-10

Waverly Whiston
2010 Champion

Always a fun division to watch in the Girls 9-10 Division. Coming in 1st off her win a few weeks back at the LA City Championship is Waverly Whiston who played two great rounds. She opened with a 2 under par 34, 2 strokes ahead of Cecelia DeMatteo. On Day 2 the action was really close coming down to the last hole with the top 4 players within a couple shots of each other. Waverly birdied to win the division. Cecelia takes 2nd place honors with her solid 36-38 performance. Jade Siphomsay takes 3rd place coming off a win at last week's SDJGA event.

BOYS 8 and UNDER

Brett Sodetz
2010 Champion

The most exciting finish came in our young 8 and under Boys Division. After 18-Holes was complete we had a tie for 1st between Brett Sodetz and Dylan Fritz. These 2 play a lot together and they claim this maybe their 7th playoff against each other. Coming on top this time is Brett Sodetz after 3 holes of sudden death playoff. Dylan takes 2nd place and 3rd place goes to San Diego's Andrew Jung. Since both Brett and Dylan are exempt for Junior World then Andrew Jung will take the spot!

8 Young ladies competed 2 days at the Las Vegas Championship. Our champion comes all the way from Honolulu, Hi shooting 37-42 to win by 4 strokes over San Diego's Brianna Navarossa. Coming in 3rd place is Daisy Wan from San Marino, CA. Way to girls...
