A Look Back
New Additions & Growth at Premier Winter Junior Golf Event
Registration Now Open for the 7th Annual San Diego Junior Amateur Golf Championships that will be played January 2-4, 2014. The event has quickly become the number one junior golf championship held during winter break and has fielded some of the top junior golfers each year. This event is hosted by Future Champions Golf and this will be the first event for points on the World Series Rankings. Last year over 490 junior golfers competed in this event with a waitlist of over 50 players.
The event hosts divisions for all ages of junior golfers from 7-18.
The event is highly recruited by College Coaches. Our last San Diego Junior Amateur saw coaches from 17 different universities including; SDSU, USC, UCLA, ASU, USD, University of Oregon and Pepperdine.
The Boys and Girls 15-18 Divisions will play 54-Holes with a cut after 36-Holes. The Top 25% Boys and Girls will compete on Saturday January 4th for the final round. All other divisions will play 36-Holes and will end on Friday January 3rd.

· Sycuan Willow Glen for Boys 13-14/ Girls 11-12
· Sycuan Oak Glen for Girls 15-18 / Girls 13-14 / Boys 11-12
· Sycuan Pine Glen for Boys 9-10 / Boys 7-8 / Girls 9-10/ Girls 7-8
Par 3 contest held on Sycuan Resort Pine Glen on Jan 4th. This event is open to all ages.

· Todd Baek – Currently playing Professionally on the European Challenge Tour and former standout on the SDSU Aztecs
· Jonah Texeira – One of the best junior golfers in the US. Won the 2012 San Diego Junior Amateur and the 2012 San Diego Junior Masters.

ABOUT
Kicking off the 2014 Future Champions Golf (FCG) World Series schedule, the 7th Annual San Diego Junior Amateur will be held on the first weekend of the new year (January 2nd-4th, 2014) for junior golfers age 6-18. With names like, Chris Williams (#1 Ranked Amateur), Todd Baek (European Challenge Tour Player) and Beau Hossler (2-Time U.S. Open Participant) as past champions, the FCG San Diego Junior Amateur has garnered a reputation as the most prestigious tournament over the “winter break” time-frame for junior golfers.
The tournament will be held at Steele Canyon Golf Club and Sycuan Resort.
