2008 Highlights
At Future Champions Golf we believe that all of our members have improved dramatically over the past year. We would like to highlight everyone but because of space we have decided to highlight just a few.

To note: the finiest performance by San Diego Players in the Callaway Junior World that we have seen, maybe ever. Great finishes and cuts made by many San Diego based juniors. Way to go!!!

Sahith Theegala wins 3rd Junior World Title at Age 10.... AMAZING
Finishes 2nd at US Kids World Championship by 1 stroke
PARS Champion

Alexander Pak wins the US Kids World Championship at Pinehurst

Haley Moore finishes 2nd at US Kids World Championship

Danny Ochoa places 2nd at US Kids World Championship and 11th at Junior World.

Jade Isra Siphomsay finishes 3rd at US Kids World Championship

Jonah Texeira, age 12 rises to the #1 Player on the Challenge Tour and SDJGA,
Qualifies for Junior World and finishes in 4th place, qualifies for Optimist International,
misses qualifying for US Kids by 1 stroke, and more. Finishes Player of the Year in SDJGA.

Waverly Whiston, age 8 shot 88-90 at Junior World in 2007 and returns in 2008
to finish 7th and record 62-66-62. Finished Player of the Year in the SDJGA.

Lilia Vu wins the San Diego Junior Masters and the following week wins the Junior World Championship. She is currently Player of the Year for the FCG Challenge Tour.

Ahmed Ali, the smiling 8 year old has dominated his division this year and captured the Junior World Title which included a Hole in One in the final round. He also won the 1st Annual San Diego Junior Masters the previous week in dramatic fashion by holing a 30 foot eagle putt to win. He is the current 10 and Under FCGCT Player of the Year and the SDJGA Player of the Year.

San Diego Junior Masters Results

San Diego Junior Amateur Results

Kevin Gorman finishes in 2nd place in the SDJGA Player of the Year race for the Boys Championship at age 14 and 15. He is also in 3rd place in the FCG Challenge Tour points race.

The Boys 13-14 Division in SDJGA was dominated by FCG Members including Top 10 in points by James Stafford (2), Ricky DeSantis (3), Garret Cypher (4), Bobby Gojuangco (5), Christopher Tuulik (6), Jake Meloche (8), Danny Ochoa (9).

The Boys 11-12 Division of SDJGA was also packed with FCG Stars including Jonah Texeira (1), Ben Doyle (2), Nahum Memndoza (4), Tyler Moore (6), Corey Shaun (7), Luis Calderon (8), and Ryan Bisharat (9)

The Boys 9-10 in SDJGA saw FCG Members Norman Xiong (2), Alan Tom (3), Brandon Michaels (5), Matthew Mendes (6), Cullen Plousha (7), Julian Davis (8), Fred Copley (9).

The Boys 8 and Under had FCG Members Ahmed Ali (1), Alexander Pak (2), Justin McGrath (3), Carter Plousha (4), Cade Casaga (7), Kyle Maspat (8), and Diego Marmolejo (10).

The Girls Championship Division for SDJGA saw great improvemnt this year from Annie McSorley (7), Libby Hooton (5), and Sarah Baek (8).

Girls 13-14 Division in SDJGA was won by FCGCT Standout Courtney Hooton (1), Spenser Krut (2), Hannah Kim (6), Madilena Mendiola (7), Erica-Marie Carangalan (9), and Juliette Garay (10).

Girls 11-12 Division was hot for FCG Members as well. Aliea Clark took 2nd place honors, Isabella Salant (4), Chloe Belle Hooton (5), Cara Barker (8), and Jennifer Peng (9).

Girls 9-10 finished 1-2 with the strong play of Haley Moore and in 2nd place Jessica Mangrobang, Maddleyn Zack (5), Lilia Vu (9), and Nastasia Kossacky (10).

Girls 8 and Under finished with superstar Waverly Whiston (10), Brooke Seay (3), Jade Isra Siphomsay (4), Cecelia DeMatteo (6)
