Rules to remember:

Two Forms of Competition: STROKE PLAY and MATCH PLAY

Stroke Play: Add up all of your shots to make a final score. Write down your score on your scorecard after each hole. You are responsible for each hole's score to be correct. You should write in the total when you are done and sign your scorecard.

Match Play: A format where you compete against another player. The winner of the match is the person who wins the most holes. Ex. If you make par on #1 and your compeitor makes bogey, you are now One Up in the match. This continues until a winner is determined when the player is up in more holes than holes left to play. (Ex. If you win the first 10 holes the match is over because you would be 10 Up with 8 holes to play.

Tee Box: You may use a tee for the first shot on any hole only. After the tee shot you must play the ball as it lies. The Tee Box is the area between the two rocks or markers and you may go back up to two club lengths from the markers. You may not tee up in front o fthe markers or outside of the marker.
