Boys College Prep Division 18 and Under

The first round was close scoring with 14 players finishing the day within 4 shots of leader CJ Coleman from Manhattan Beach, CA. However round 2 told a different story as CJ Coleman out lasted a very competitive boys 15-18 group by being the only player in the group to shoot under par both days (71-70: 141) finishing at 3 under par and a 5 shot victory over runner up Mason Glinski of Oxnard, CA

Girls College Prep Division 18 and Under

Chaehee Oh from Gardena, CA entered the second round with a 5 shot lead after firing a tournament low 3 under par 69 in the first round. Things did get a little tighter as Marni Murez from Manhattan Beach, CA made a run by shooting 76 in round 2 to close the gap to 2 strokes but in the end Chaehee round one lead was too much to overcome as she eventually won by 2 strokes with rounds of 69-80: 149. We would also like to recognize Yuree Huh for her finish as the youngest player in the field competing from the same tees as girls 15-18.

Boys 13-14 Division

Red hot defending champion Alexander Yang took on a competitive boys 13-14 field but his tournament low two rounds of 68-70: 138 (-6) was just too much to catch up too for runner up Dominic Wade who shot two good rounds of 77-73 himself. Alexander and his well-known bucket hat couldn’t miss all weekend and sailed away to victory.

Girls 14 and Under Division

Boys 11-12 Division

Although small in size this group may have been the most entertaining group of the whole event. With smiles and funny conversation going the whole tournament these guys showed what golf is all about. A lesson to be learned by players of all skill levels for sure. All jokes aside this division had to be decided by the only playoff of the whole event as Cooper Goyette edge Santa Barbara local Aryeh Keating in the first playoff hole as Denver, CO resident TJ Hicks finished third.
