Our Goal is to provide the Ultimate Training Ground for Junior Golfers in San Diego at an affordable price. You shouldn't have to sacrifice everything to become a great player. With the support of Callaway Golf, the team behind Future Champions Golf, and our great volunteers we are able to keep our fees low and provide you with a high quality tournament experience that will prepare you for the highest level.
In addition every college coach will be emailed the results of every event.

We feel that all juniors if given the opportunity can improve to be a college player and we want more juniors to go on to higher level golf from San Diego than ever before.

Qualifying to be an All Star

Other Players who are exempt for the All Star Division
but must submit an application are:

  • Any Top 20 Finish in an AJGA Event
  • Any Top 20 Finish in a IJGT Event
  • Top 5 at the CA Jr Tour Fall Championship
  • Finish in 1st Place in any Challenge Tour Event
    (15-18/ 13-14/ or 11-12 Division)
    during 2009 with more than 5 players in the division can move up.
  • Top 5 in CIF High School Championship
  • Top 5 at the San Diego Junior Amateur, or
    the San Diego Junior Masters, or the FCG World Championship
  • Top 20 in the 2009 Junior World Championship
  • Any player who is exempt on the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup Series can join
  • All out of area top players can apply

If you decide to play in your regular age division and not compete in the All Star Division at the start of the 09 Season, you cannot move up to the All Star Division
later unless you qualify.

Maintaining your Status as an
All Star

  • You will be dropped from the division if you score over 85 in both rounds of any event. To get back in the division you will have to re-qualify.
  • If you play 3 events in a row without scoring at
    least one round in the 70's
  • Any disorderly conduct, dress code violation, etc
  • Pace of Play Problem: If you are too slow while playing our events you will be dropped from the division. You will receive 2 warnings prior to being dropped.

After a Few Events the
Scoring Requirement will lower and you will have to meet those requirements to maintain your status.

 

Myths about Junior Golf:

  • You need a High Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking to Get a College Golf Scholarship. (Whether you are ranked 8th or 1000th in the country doesn't matter. You must contact the schools you want to go to and promote yourself. Have your Coach write you a recommendation letter and follow up often. Sell yourself on why you would be a great asset to their team.
